At this time M4 Wind Services seeks qualified applicants for:

Mechanical Engineer: Design tools, molds, for blade parts. Model blade parts for documentation and fit check. Research testing standards (ISO, ASTM) applicable to materials requiring qualification. Lay up panels for testing laminate for substrate preparation. Machine panels per agreed upon standards. Extract and summarize machining standards, dimensions and allowances/tolerances. Design jigs tabs bonding (in case of laminate testing and adhesive testing) or substrate bonding (in case of adhesive testing). Measure and record sample dimensions after machining. Measure and record layup conditions/tab/substrate bonding. Record and measure test setup conditions (grip pressure, test frame calibration, test speed, etc.) Record sample test results, calculate average, standard dev and design allowable. Present data for approval by design dept. and if agreed upon, schedule QC checks when new lot of materials is ordered. Keep track of data such that performance over time can be monitored. This is helpful in capturing faults creeping in due material quality/machining standard/wear and tear of jigs and fixture/test frame wear and tear etc. Improving data storage and accessibility eg. Implementation of standard data base programs like Access. Install and maintain sensors and track data acquisition for blade test. Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
